MaryAnn's Walk
The most importont part of my life is relationships, both with myself and with others. It has taken me awhile to learn to enjoy living each day without judging myself. Blessed with a wonderful husband and partner certainly is a great help. We enjoy our wonderful blended family and fantastic grandchildren. Friends and colleagues are also important as are siblings. As you can see I focus on my relationships daily and take time to appreciate them.
Another important aspect of my life is learning and teaching. While I no longer teach high school or pre•school, I find myself "teaching" what I have learned in workshops and individually.
From my research at the University of Pennsylvania I have a great respect for the benefits of play in the lives of children. At some level we all still have the child within us. Some of the best parts of any relationship touches into our sense of play. Hopefully, Theron and I will soon be able to publish material on the importance of real play in adult relationships.
